My mom, brother, his GF, and I have been going to the same Japanese restaurant since I was like…9. Anywho, Esther, the waitress, knows pretty much everything about us and we just love her so much :)
Tonight my brother was telling her about how he hurt his foot and she was like “Put it in hot water!” Then he said “Boiling? I’m not trying to make Udon, Esther!” to which she replied “Well we’ll start serving the Udon here! Yum!” Then my brother said “Foot-on!” LOL omg I fucking died laughing. It’s one of those You had to be there moments I guess but if anyone knows Japanese food they’ll find it a little funny :P
Dude-what in the hell is up with people? Some Asian woman rushed in here to tell me a “dirty little secret” about people from Afghanistan and Pakistan pretending to be Muslims only to get money. She said “its the way the wind blows with them!” And her eyes were bloodshot and watery. A previous Asian woman walked straight behind the counter to look for more food that we haven’t displayed yet. Like really? And I still have the same damn problem with this OTHER Asian woman taking all my samples and giving me shitty vegetables in return. Dear god!
Today I got complimented on my hair by an old asian fellow. He was like “Your hair is so beautiful! Are those waves natural?” Fasho they are! :) Then another guy walked in and he had a stutter-it was SO cute! gah! He was really nice. The store was busy pretty much all day-‘twas awesomeeeee andddd I made 43 bucks in tips! AWWW YEAUUUHH BOYYY! That’s the most I’ve ever made hehe. Overall today was a really good day at work, so much better than the others. People were actually NICE and not rude as shit. Tomorrow will be another story seeing as how I have work all day and now my plans for tonight just got way more sober lol. Daaaaaaamn.
“I cannot help but wonder, however, if we do not invent our own destiny, design our own fate, to suit our circumstances. How much of love is a trick of the mind, a mere feat of verbal acrobatics, to accommodate persons who just happen to cross our path and who suit our needs at one particular moment in time?”—Anita Shreve, All He Ever Wanted (via quote-book)
